How to Get Real Longer Eyelashes in Just Days

Mascaras and longer fake eyelashes have for decades been the sole choice for women to extend their eye lashes for a more glamorous, elegant and sultry look.

That is until just a few hair growth accelerators were released onto the market in 2012 that have taken this industry by storm.

Longer, thicker more luscious looking lashes are sought after by women as the life span of an eyelash hair follicle is just 3 months compared to other hairs which can last more than 3 years.

This obviously means that they fail to reach their full length and rich potential but now eye lash formulas can be applied to the root of the eye lash helping them grow faster and richer in strength and beauty.

Getting that dream look is now much easier than you think and absolutely affordable where no celebrity endorsement should fool you into thinking it will cost an arm and a leg because the super rich can supposedly afford them.

EyeLash Growth Accelerator by Eye-Secrets is one such product that guarantees extensive growth, where the brand reports that in as little as 21 days you will see significant results and a noticeable reduction in the amount of mascara you will need to use.

Containing no toxins like the dangerous parabens, hormones or salicylates, these hair growth accelerators and other similar growth products are best applied in the evening before your beauty sleep, to the root of the eye lash so it's not disturbed like it would be with your everyday niggles, touching or rubbing of the eyes.

Achieving radiant lashes in less than 3 weeks is now more than achievable and as a result, they will keep eyelashes in for much longer due to the nutrients that are absorbed into the root of each hair follicle.

So getting that dream look that was once achieved by professional make-up artists using fake lashes and heavy mascaras is no longer the way to achieve celebrity looks any longer.

Fake hair growth accelerators and mascaras are also extremely expensive and are by no means permanent so why tread this pricey path when easily affordable if not cheap in comparison to older eye lash growth traditions are the more effective and natural option.

Healthy looking naturally thick and glamorous lashes will sure invite many more compliments in the long run if having that sultry seductive look is what you so require.

Do Eyelashes Grow Back?

There are quite a few ways to keep eyelashes healthy and growing. We're going to look at some of them here, as well as why you want to have healthy, lustrous eyelashes in the first place, and some other great information about eyelashes in general.

What do we need eyelashes for anyway?

First and foremost, you need to have great eyelashes if you want to look your best. That goes without saying. You could be dressed to the nines, have your hair perfect, and everything be ruined because of your short, thin, stunted eyelashes.

In addition to that, as everyone knows, the primary use for eyelashes is for fluttering (batting them), at men. This actually acts as a trigger for the give-in reflex that men have that makes them want to do things for you, like buy you a drink, let you win an argument, jump in front of you to stop bullets, etc.

They also (supposedly) serve to protect the eyes. They act as shades to reduce the amount of light going into your eyes from the sun. They also act as a filter, and cause the 'blink reflex,' that helps prevent damage to your eyes from stuff damaging them.

How do you lose your eyelashes?

Eyelashes have been known to thin and fall out at times - this could be because of a variety of reasons. It could be congenital, a disease, infection, or you may have decided that sticking your face into an open flame was a good idea.

It doesn't matter. Regardless of the causes - and there are quite a few - eyelash loss isn't that uncommon, and it's not often that it's not completely reversible.

Or perhaps you may have yanked them out with your eyelash curler, for example. Like if your roommate decided that it would be fun to sneak up behind you and goose - while you were curling your lashes.

It's not the end of the world, in general, if any of this stuff happens to you - at least as far as having healthy eyelashes is concerned!

Which leads us back to... Do eyelashes grow back?

They do grow back, unless there's a reason for them not to. If you get laser hair removal treatments on your eyelashes, obviously they aren't coming back. If there is some type of health reason that prevents them from growing, they won't (obviously).

Otherwise, it's almost a given that they will, indeed, grow back - and pretty much the same as they were before. They won't be thicker, they won't be thinner, they'll be more or less the same, once they eventually grow back in, which could take months.

Any tips on how to keep your lashes healthy or grow your eyelashes back?

Now, there are many ways to keep the eyelashes healthy and to try to promote growth. This is where I'm going to give you some of the tips that I've learned to help keep my lashes in top shape.

They should be kept clean, of course. This goes without saying for your whole body, not just your eyelashes. For people who use makeup (who doesn't?), this is even more important, because that area can actually be a breeding ground for bacteria if it's not kept clean!

Use water-resistant mascara, not water-proof mascara. It's a lot easier to remove the former, and it's a lot gentler on your eyelids.

Proper nutrition can be critical to promoting great, healthy eyelashes. Eggs, beans, yogurt, and other foods high in protein actually help to make lashes grow faster! Other nutrients, like vitamins c, e, b complex, and a are great for not just your eyelashes but your hair as well! So eat lots of fruit, vegetables, and lean meat!

Does vaseline help eyelashes grow?

Vaseline - and olive oil and emu oil are actually home remedies that supposedly help eyelashes grow back. I have absolutely no idea whether any of these work or not. I haven't tried them, but I'd love to hear from someone who has!

I guess they are supposed to help keep your lashes strong, moisturized, and grow faster. You just apply a tiny little bit of any of the three to your eyelashes - just the tiniest little bit, so it doesn't get anywhere else.

Once again, that's not something I have tried personally, but supposedly it has worked for tons of women. There are also commercial products - some that I have tried, and that have worked for me, but I'm not going to go into that here, you need to check out the rest of my blog to find out more!

Please comment below if there is anything I missed, or maybe you have tried the Vaseline, olive oil, or emu oil remedies? Or anything else to help answer 'Do Eyelashes Grow Back?'

How to Grow Eyelashes Naturally!

Sadly many women across the world are unsatisfied with the condition and appearance of their lashes. This shortfall has led to the creation and marketing of a slew of products that ostensibly cause these delicate hairs to lengthen, thicken and increase in density resulting in a more pleasing beauty appearance.

Unfortunately these products contain a huge variety of chemical ingredients. Many of these also come with the potential risk of unwanted side effects and irritation to the skin around the eyes - and the framing effect of long, dark eyelashes can be spoiled somewhat by puffy, red inflamed eyelids which is completely counter to the point of using these cosmetic products in the first place!

Mascaras and false lashes aren't without their drawbacks either - both necessitate the manipulation and weighing down of the eyelash which weakens them at the follicle and eventually causes them to fall out. With this in mind, here are some more natural solutions to your eyelash woes that are unlikely to be quite so damaging in the long run.The quality of all types of hair is heavily influenced by the amounts of specific dietary components consumed on a daily basis. B vitamins in particular (B5, B6 and B12 especially) are crucial for the development of long, flexible, shiny lashes. For optimal eyelash growth try to maintain a steady intake of nuts, pulses, egg yolk, red meat and cereals. Additionally, the application of coconut, almond, olive or vitamin E oils can help to condition the eyelashes naturally. Normally these are applied before bed and left in place overnight to allow the product to soak into the body of the hair.

The longer your eyelashes spend free from cloying, weighty cosmetic products, the healthier they are likely to look in the long term. A bog key is to try and not touch or rub the eye area if you can avoid it as this too will weaken the lashes at the follicles and impact them negatively by stressing them to the point of potentially snapping them. Although many cosmetic products are designed with 'looking good' at the forefront, without consideration for the condition of the lashes after use, there are some products which by their ingredient list, will actually improve the health of the lashes in the same way that a good quality hair serum will boost the general health of your head hair. Although eyelash growth serums can be more costly than cheaper cosmetic products, the cost is greatly outweighed by the benefits.

What Can Cause Your Eyelashes To Fall Out?

Like all hairs on the body, eyelashes can sustain damage that results from health issues or environmental factors. Eyelashes also shed, both as a result of the natural cycle of growth or because they have become weakened and damaged.

Most damage to the eyelashes is caused by using too many cosmetics or cosmetic utensils on a regular basis. For example, eyelash curlers can be especially damaging to the fragile eyelash hairs because they tend to yank the hair at the root, which weakens it over time. Using an eyelash curler once in a while shouldn't cause major damage, but using it often can weaken the hair to the point that it falls out.

Overuse of mascara can also cause the lashes to weaken and fall out. Mascara is heavy on the lashes and can weigh them down. It's also very sticky and difficult to remove, so at least a little residue remains on the lashes even after meticulous washing. Many women opt for waterproof mascara, which is even more challenging to remove completely without scrubbing.

Those who suffer from allergies, such as hay fever, tend to rub their eyes frequently, which cause damage to the lashes. When your eyes are constantly dry and itchy, you're far more prone to roughly manhandling them just to feel a moment of relief. Chronic fatigue is another culprit, since many people rub their eyes when they are tired.

Certain medical conditions can cause thinning or loss of eyelashes. The most common include:

Madarosis: a condition that causes loss of eyelashes either as a genetic condition or as a secondary effect from infection or cancer.
Blephartis: a condition characterized by irritation of part of the eye where the eyelashes connect lid. The condition causes flaky, itchy skin and, in many cases, eyelash loss.
Distichiasis: abnormal growth of lashes in places on the eyelid where you wouldn't typically expect to find eyelashes. The condition can cause squinting and extreme irritation, which may lead to eyelash loss.
Trichiasis: More commonly referred to as ingrown eyelashes, trichiasis can cause harm to the actual eyeball itself as well as extreme irritation to the lashes.

While none of these conditions should completely dash your hopes of having gorgeous eyelashes, they do need to be evaluated by an eye doctor. In most cases, the irritation causes the most problems, because that is what makes you more likely to poke and prod at your eyes. The best thing you can do to help avoid eyelash loss is to keep your hands away from your face and your fingers out of your eyes. If the eyelash loss is a new symptom or your eyes feel irritated, follow up with a medical professional right away.

Achieving Thicker, Fuller Eyelashes!

Many women want thicker eyelashes. No matter the cost, having thicker eyelashes makes a woman feel more youthful and beautiful. Since eyes are considered to be the "windows to the soul", beautiful eyelashes provide the frame for the window. Having thicker eyelashes also means that the eye is protected from outside sources like debris, smoke and chemicals... but most women just want thicker eyelashes for the aesthetic effect they have.

Today there are many different products in the marketplace that promise you can achieve the lashes you desire. The packages are beautiful, and there is a great deal spent on advertising so that having thicker eyelashes seems like it can be achievable by any woman. There are several variations in price and type as everyone is different, but it is not necessary to spend a large amount of money on a product in order to achieve the look that you want thicker lashes.

Some budget friendly ways to give your eye lashes more thickness include:

Traditional methods - yes, this is where mom comes in! Throughout many decades, there have been natural alternatives to moisturize and penetrate the hair follicle of the eyelash in order to create more growth and fullness. Olive oil and castor oil are two that have been used for hundreds of years. Some women swear by petroleum jelly. To effectively use these natural alternatives, simply apply tiny amounts of the oil along the lash line before sleep. You may wish to use a cotton swab for this purpose, and it is important to keep the oils from getting into the eye causing irritation. Prettier lashes can be seen usually after about a month.

There are newer products that can only be administered by a physician, as it requires a prescription. By applying them to the lash line twice a day, one should see eyelash hair growth. Though there is a list of side effects that can be associated with it, it is generally considered to be safe. Any Hollywood actresses have been successful with this product and then advertise for it.

Direct cosmetic treatments do not require a prescription and are applied in the same manner that mascara would be applied. For both top and bottom lashes, it conditions and helps to promote the growth of the eyelash. This method works and is considered inexpensive when compared to other treatments.

False Eyelashes- when you just can't grow lashes fast enough for that special event; the market for false eyelashes has exploded in recent years. The benefit to this is that many are much more natural looking and easy to apply. These provide a good alternative while waiting for the above treatments to take effect.

Achieving Larger Eyelashes!

Humans have a natural tendency to not be happy with the exact way they were created. Whether it's the color of hair, our height, the shape of the eye that we have, or even the length of eyelashes, we are always manipulating what we have to either change it or enhance it to look different or better in appearance. Perhaps because we usually must look into a mirror many times a day those small eyelashes that surround our eyes often become the target of a plan to grow them longer and thicker. We perceive long healthy eyelashes as a signal of optimal health and a frame for our eyes.

Each person's eyelashes may look different and not all have naturally longer lashes. Some people with much lighter complexions also have light eyelashes this light color also causes the lashes to appear thinner than they may actually be. Others have been eyelashes due to constant rubbing or a poor diet. The most common and cost-effective way to change the physical appearance of one's eyelashes is to wear mascara. Whether it is a liquid, cream or cake like application, mascara is made of safe, non-toxic preservatives and waxes. Mascara comes in many different colors, with black being the most prevalent. There are some mascaras that even contain glitter or, in a hue of blue. Most are in tubes and are brushed onto the eyelashes

In the late 1950s and 1960s, false eyelashes became the rage. Most false eyelashes come in preformed strips in varying length and thickness. The strip is cool mood using a special non-toxic cosmetically 02 the top rim of the eyelid. This creates a look of thicker eyelashes. False eyelashes are a temporary fix; they must be removed after use and when not applied properly, can fall off. Another disadvantage to false eyelashes is that they require gentle removal; otherwise natural eyelashes may be pulled out along with the false eyelash strip.

Eyelash growth serums have become popular recently. When some patients being treated for glaucoma experienced an abnormal - but desirable - amount of lash growth when using medication to treat their condition, researchers found that some of the ingredients in the medication could be used as a serum to be applied on the rim of the eyelid to grow lashes. There are side effects associated with using lash serums which include pairs growing in places outside of the desired eyelid, a brownish "stain" of color around the eye lids, and sometimes allergic reactions may occur. These serums can also get expensive for a user and the results stop after a user discontinues use of the product. In the end, less expensive cosmetic methods may be the best antidote to achieving "larger-than-life" lashes.

Nutrients For Better Eyelashes

If you want thicker, longer, fuller eyelashes there are literally hundreds off cosmetic products on sale that claim to guarantee just that. However, even if all of these claims were legitimate (which if the cosmetics industry as a whole is anything to go by, they're not) you would need a small fortune to purchase the full spectrum of products available.

So instead of forking out for expensive conditioners, growth serums and make-up, why not make some simple changes to your diet instead? Here is some information regarding nutrients that might give the look of your lashes a real boost:

B Vitamins
The B group of vitamins are, perhaps, the most important for the health of hair in general (and by extension, the eyelashes). They were once thought to be a single chemical substance (referred to as "Vitamin B", in much the same way as "Vitamin C") but are now recognised to be eight distinct substances.

Vitamin B5 is amongst the most important, as it provides hairs and lashes with flexibility, strength and shine and helps prevent hair loss. B12 is also important for the prevention of excess hair loss, and B6 can help to maintain a healthy scalp.

Sources: Unprocessed foods are the best places to find B vitamins as a whole, and can be consumed in whole grains, potatoes, bananas, chilli peppers, beans and brewer's yeast. They are perhaps most concentrated in meats and fish, such as tuna, turkey and liver.

Biotin
Biotin is technically also a B Vitamin, but is listed here separately to stress its importance for healthy hair and lash growth.

A deficiency in biotin can result in very poorly conditioned hair and nails- its effect can be seen very clearly in the loss of eyebrows and eyelashes, and for this reason anyone looking to improve the condition of their lashes should ensure they are getting plenty of biotin in their diet.

Sources: There aren't many particularly rich dietary sources of biotin, but amongst the best are swiss chard, egg yolk and peanuts. It can also be acquired through supplementation if you feel you might not be getting enough.

Iron

Iron plays a large part in many biological processes. It is best known perhaps for its function in the production of red blood cells, but it is also thought to be a possible major cause of hair loss (particularly in women) which includes the eyelashes. This has yet to be proved conclusively, but it is possible that poor iron absorption is to blame.

Sources: Red meats are the obvious choice for anyone suffering with symptoms of anaemia, but fish, pulses, cereals and spinach are also very good alternatives.
