Makeup Application Tips for Acne Prone Skin Types

Makeup Tips For Acne Prone Skin Types

Acne is a very common problem, not just for teenagers, but for adults too. Often times the acne experienced throughout adolescence can leave scars later in life, which many people are very self-conscious about. The types of makeup used on acne prone skin can make a huge difference on both minimizing the appearance of acne-induced scars, as well as prevent future breakouts.

Resist the Temptation of Piling on Too Much Makeup

One of the worst things you can do is apply too much makeup to the skin, yet this seems to be a pretty common practice, especially when trying to over up a scar or a blemish. Instead of piling on the foundation, just apply a thin layer of base makeup across your entire face, and then apply a concealer to certain spot to reduce their appearance. This will make the skin look much more natural as opposed to thick layers of foundation, which is quite obvious.

Of course, try not to pick at your pimples or blackheads. Doing so will aggravate them, and make them flare up, making them much more difficult to conceal. Picking at your pimples can leave a crusty film on top, which makes applying concealer over top of them much more challenging and obvious.

Use Makeup Specifically Geared Towards Acne Prone Skin

The type of makeup you use is just as important as the method with which it applied. You absolutely must select a foundation that is high in quality and not oil based. Makeup that is oil based can clog pores and actually cause further breakouts. Make sure to check what type of makeup you are buying before applying it to your skin.

Prep Your Skin

Using a toner is a great way to remove excess oils and prep your skin for makeup application. This is especially helpful for those who are prone to acne breakouts. Of course, you can't control the amount of oils that your skin secretes, but using a toner will help to eliminate these extra oils without stripping the skin from vital moisture.

Use the Right Type of Concealer Over Your Blemishes

The type of concealer you use can really make a difference on how much your blemishes appear noticeable. The way in which you apply the concealer is also important. You can either use a clean fingertip, or a makeup brush to apply concealer on top of your blemishes. Dot a matte concealer that has salicylic acid over top of problem areas. Blend the product gently all over the blemish without actually touching the pimple if possible. Once the concealer has had adequate time to dry, you can then apply a light dust of clear powder over top to set it.

Having clean and clear skin is essential for achieving a flawless look with various types of makeup. If your skin is prone to acne breakouts, then it's essential that you use the appropriate type of base makeup, as well as using skilled techniques when applying the makeup to make sure the makeup looks natural and not "caked" on. Use these tips for the perfect base makeup for acne prone skin!

Easy Moisturizing Honey Face Mask Recipes For Acne All Skin Types

Honey has many beneficial properties for skin. Honey face masks are soothing for inflamed skin, antibacterial for acne breakout prone complexions and hydrating for dry or environmentally damaged skin. It's even good for reducing scarring when added to rosehip, almond, argan or borage oils.

Honey is such an easy ingredient to work with. You can add it to mask bases like yogurt, mashed banana or avocado, or mix it with almond oil and lemon juice to make a cleanser. It is a natural humectant, meaning it draws water and humidity from the air to it - and your skin.

Here are some easy recipes to make using honey as a base:

Normal to dry skin honey face mask:

1 tablespoon honey

for very dry skin add ½ teaspoon avocado oil

1 tablespoon of almond, olive, soybean or any other oil

1 egg OR mashed banana OR ½ an avocado

Mix well together until the blend forms a puree. Apply to skin and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing off.

Lightening honey face mask:

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon of almond oil

½ teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon cucumber juice or pulp

Mix well together well. Apply to skin and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing off.

Acne honey face mask:

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

3 drops tea tree or lavender oil (can use neem or rosemary oil also)

1 tablespoon of almond, olive, soybean or any other oil

Squeeze of lemon juice

Mix well together well. Apply to skin and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing off.

Aloe honey sunburn treatment:

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon aloe vera juice or gel

1 teaspoon cucumber juice or pulp

1 tablespoon unsweetened plain yogurt

Mix together well and leave in fridge or freezer until cooled sufficiently (10 minutes is enough). Apply to red burned areas and leave on for ten minutes then wash off. You can also apply aloe juice direct to soothe burned skin.

As you can see, it's easy to make and apply simple recipes for skin using honey with other ingredients.

For acneic skin the addition of antibacterial and antimicrobial oils like extra virgin coconut oil, lavener, neem or tea tree oil to a honey base makes a powerful acne mask treatment.

Honey is truly a wonder ingredient for masks, cleansers and as an addition to even moisturizers. You can experiment with all kinds of ingredients to make specific face masks and serums to nourish and rejuvenate your skin.

Types of Homemade Upper Lip Wax to Use With Home Waxing Strips

Though body hair (like hair on the upper lip) may be considered as natural and beautiful in some cultures, it's not in American cultures. Thus the inventions of upper lip wax and home waxing strips appeared. Of course it depends on the brand and the store that these kits are purchased, but these hair removal kits can be pricey. Therefore many women have resorted to creating their own home waxing strips and their own upper lip wax. This article will cover the two most popular recipes for homemade upper lip wax (the brown sugar recipe and the honey recipe), so that women - and their banking accounts - can relax!

Brown Sugar Recipe

This is probably the one of the most popular recipes for homemade upper lip wax. It might be because the ingredients - brown sugar, water, and lemon - are usually easily found in every woman's kitchen cabinet; if they are not they are an inexpensive purchase at the grocery store. While some recipes vary, the common steps for this recipe include mixing 1 cup of the brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of water, and a freshly-squeezed lemon in a saucepan. Obviously, it is best to mix these ingredients together until the sugar is melted but one should wait until the mixture is warm, not hot to apply it to the skin.

An easy way to test the heat is simply to test it on one's wrist before applying it to the lip. After the upper lip wax is mixed together, simply follow the directions one would normally follow to remove hair from the upper lip. This process varies - some section off certain areas of the upper lip, while some might do it all at once. An extra tip for this recipe is to use some light face powder on the area before applying the wax to protect it from the product.

Honey Recipe

Using honey in the homemade hair removal recipe is another common method. While this one can be used as upper lip wax, it can also be used on other areas of the body where hair is not wanted. Since this recipe combines both honey and sugar, it is often referred to as body sugaring. While this recipe is similar to the Brown Sugar recipe, its ingredients include: 1 cup of granulated white sugar, ¼ cup of honey and again a freshly squeezed lemon. Both recipes can be heated in a saucepan until the sugar is melted or cooked in the microwave for about two to three minutes or until the sugar is melted. Once the recipe is melted together, the same directions for using home waxing strips as mentioned previously and when used with a store-bought waxing kit should be applied.

Some other homemade recipes that can be used to reduce facial hair growth include face masks. One combines 10ml of lemon juice and 40 ml of honey and should be left on for fifteen minutes. Another homemade face mask involves mixing 10 ml of lemon juice, one cup of water, and 30 grams of flour and applying for fifteen minutes as well.

This article just lists a few of the most popular homemade upper lip wax solutions. A simple Internet search will supply women with many more options so that they can stay beautiful without breaking the bank, and in today's society, both are equally important!

This article illustrates homemade upper lip wax solutions to use with home waxing strips so that women can stay beautiful without paying a fortune for their beauty products.

Hair Extensions - The Different Types You Have To Choose From

Not many ladies have the privilege of enjoying long hair. Thus, many of them will find comfort in using extensions on their hair. Before you purchase one, it would be good to know the types of extensions that are there in market. Not all extensions will look good on your hair. Thus, you have to know the types that exist so that you can make an informed choice on which one you can use. Each type of hair extension has its own advantages and disadvantages. It is by weighing out the pros and cons that you will be able to decide which one you would want to use.

The first types we will look at are the weft hair extensions. Normally, these ones are usually put in place using a small, fine thread. Sometimes, these types of extensions have heavy textures and will match will with your hair. When you use these types of hair extensions, they usually bring about uniformity with your real hair and someone will actually think that you have long hair. By using such extensions, it is hard for someone to notice that you have them on. One disadvantage of these types of extensions is that the real hair is weakened. Those who are experiencing hair loss or hair thinning may actually end up losing their hair faster. However, weft hair extensions are the fastest and easiest to place.

The other types are the weave hair extensions. One disadvantage of this is that it takes quite a while before it is put in place. It is for this reason that putting such extensions is more expensive compared to using weft hair extensions. Having the weave extensions secured in place can take many hours. Thus, if you want to use these types of extensions, you can ask your hair stylist how long it will take them to have the extensions in place. The process of placing these extensions involves weaving them together with the real hair at the root. This provides a more secure holding. People who are experiencing hair thinning or loss can use this type of method. One of the common occasions where this method of hair placement is used is in weddings where the bride would like her hair to look long and luxurious.

It is always important to read as much as you can about the types of hair extensions one can use. Take time and do so before settling on a particular type.

Different Types of Hair Straighteners

Hair can be straight or curly, long or short. While many women prefer to have their natural hair style, others like to have a different style once in a while or eliminate some imperfections like the frizz and the natural waves. People with straight hair may prefer a curly style and vice versa. Instead of going to the salon to get their hair done and pay an expensive price for it, some folks prefer to do their hair at home and still achieve the same, impressive look. With the tools and different hair treatments available, this is very easy but will require a bit of time for preparation.

Store-Brought Flat Iron Straighteners

Many brands of ceramic flat iron straighteners are available in local stores and online shops. It used to be an expensive product for expert stylists only. But with the demand of the market, more and more easy-to-use flat iron straighteners are now available for consumer use. You can even buy a reliable GHD cheap straightener in local supermarkets and trusted online stores nowadays.

However, the disadvantage with using this type of product is the short-term result. After washing your hair, the effect is gone. You may have to keep using straighteners to achieve the results again. Hair experts, however, do not recommend the use of this product on a daily basis because it can damage hair and cause brittleness, split ends, and dryness.

Thermal Reconditioning

If you want semi-permanent long, straight locks, there are salon-administered treatments like thermal reconditioning. A chemical is applied on your hair, and a stylist will use ceramic flat irons repeatedly to achieve desired results. The effect can last for about 6 months with proper care and maintenance. You may also try using frizz-control serums offered by Pantene and Dove Hair.

Chemical Straighteners

Chemical straighteners are also salon-administered treatments that are ideal for very curly hair. If the use of ceramic flat irons and thermal reconditioning doesn't give the best results, this is your next best option. It deeply straightens hair's structure to remove the curls and straighten permanently. After a couple of months, however, new growth of curly hair will be visible, making treated hair look untidy. Many women who undergo such treatment will prefer to repeat the procedure after several months to retain the same look.

Whether you're using a GHD cheap straightener or getting your hair straightened in salons for treatments, always practice utmost precaution. Hair becomes damaged when exposed to various chemicals and subjected to several treatments. Always use good products and keep hair well-maintained with good shampoo, conditioner, and other trusted hair care products in the market today.

You can find good hair care products and Ry GHD cheap straighteners by visiting online stores and local shops. Always rely on trusted brands in hair care.
