Get Your Nails Done Without The Damage

Get Your Nails Done Without The Damage

There are many things in the course of the evolution of technology that really paint a clear picture at how far we have come. These contrasts help us take a step back and realize in the world's improvement technologically. Below are just a few of those examples.

The Horse and Buggy vs The Modern Day Car The Sword and Shield vs Jet Planes and Tanks Homing Pigeons vs The Cell Phone Candles For Light vs The Light Bulb An Ax vs A Chainsaw

These dramatic contrasts are common and most people understand how far we have come just by simply writing them side by side in comparison. Although these comparisons are interesting in and of themselves I want to compare an advancement in the salon industry. More particularly I want to compare nail services.

For many years women have been getting their nails done only to realize that in fact they are harming their nails. After a few visits to the salon they are stuck because their nails no longer look or feel beautiful naturally. The main reasons are because of the chemicals and products used on the nails to enhance them. These products cause damage leaving the nails unsightly and painful.

Although this has been happening for years, it seems to have taken the industry along to time to remedy the situation. Over 5 years ago a new service began to emerge onto the salon scene. The service was UV manicures. It was a similar service to regular manicures except for a few key elements.

1st: Each layer of product applied, with a nail brush, to the nail was cured in a nail Ultraviolet lamp.

2nd: After each curing treatment the drying time was instant.

3rd: The end result was a thin coating of hard cured gel polish that lasted for much longer than a regular manicure.

Although these three benefits of the new UV manicures were great improvements in the industry they were still causing nail damage on many clients.

Why?

Because the removal process still required long exposure to harsh chemicals and filing. With these damaging effects many women still did not want to submit their nails to such harsh conditions. Manufacturers believed that once these two harsh conditions could be overcome women would overwhelm salons. It became a race to produce the product and service that could meet these demands.

In early 2010 these demands were met for the very first time. Creative Nail Designs launched their brand new product called Shellac. Shellac was a UV Gel/Polish manicure that was easy to put on and easy to take off.

Just weeks after being introduced, CND was already experiencing such a large demand that they could barely keep up. Because CND's product was so successful other companies began making their own super polish.

Now there are multiple brands on the market. Some of the them are Gelish, Gelac, Mani-Q, Red Carpet Manicure, and more. It just goes to show that good business is about making the customer happy. To learn more about Shellac or Gelish please visit these sites.
